On December 6, 2025 we step from the Pig’s month — shaking everything up — into the Yang Earth Rat month.
The starting chart of the month looks as follows:
In December the desire for
security, or the illusion of securit comes to the forefront. We may feel instability, the Pig month brought so much upheaval with its stirring changes (mostly intense deep realisations and emotional turbulence). The heavenly stems in the earth element indicate that we long for predictability, earth carries the themes of matter, finances, home and safety. Since they appear side by side in opposing polarity, it calls attention to the fact that stability, the familiar safety we thought was strong until now (be it a belief system, lifestyle, relationship, job, identity, family ties—anything we considered certain, is now undergoing transformation. As if you were lost, facing a new situation, new task, new role. This may be a painful grief, losing someone, moving to a new place, saying goodbye to a workplace, or simply what you believed about yourself has suddenly changed, and now you have no strength. How to continue? How one experiences this can feel
chaotic, like chaos, difficult, or for some, this very new situation can bring
refreshing, innovative changes into life that can now be integrated as good habits into daily life. In the month pillar, the
Yang Earth Rat pillar holds the meeting of the energies and opposing forces of the rock and the ocean, which is why the beginning of new things can feel hard to experience with this energy. One feels that something should be started with a clean slate, but only confusion and disorder are felt as a result of what has happened. There is not much support in the outside world either, and it is difficult to redefine our goal. This month teaches you not to lose faith, it asks for patience and perseverance. November nicely cleared out the deep darkness, some may have had true
epiphany moments. These purifications are for you. These insights are necessary for you to level up in the future.
It is interesting how at the end of the year, as you start to feel the effect of transition, the Snake urged inward turning, patience, transformation. Just as the snake sheds its skin, many may feel this way due to life events. However, the Horse energy’s dynamic, hopeful restart slowly creeps in. But not as before the transformation, for things cannot continue as they used to. A level-up is needed, and if you are open to this, the Year of the Horse will gallop in a new and better direction.
However this December month still requires slow and gradual development, so do not want everything immediately. The I Ching often compares this state of change to the
state of birth, difficult, yet containing the miracle: precisely when it is the hardest, something new can be born. And just as a newborn breaks through from the womb, afterwards a long time is needed to trust that the new life unfolds, a new order is born. If you look at the header image, this is a lived state like a sprout emerging from the dark soil, its roots are still stronger (the experience of the past) than the stem above the soil (new life phase).
In Yang Earth, the Rob Wealth (RW) Structure signifies exactly this—let go of what no longer serves, or join in a new way you could not imagine before. The
Indirect Wealth structure (IR) of the Rat to Yang Earth is interesting, as this instinctive behaviour wants to accomplish everything immediately, under the urge to control… This is the main profile of the month as well. Although the desire to act, to jump into the new is present within us, the higher forces still ask for patience, slowing down. (The Yang Earth rock analogy causes blockage, while Yin Earth finds itself in difficulty deciding). With such a main profile a person does not want to wait, wants to jump, desires quick and efficient solutions, wants everything under control, and this may also appear financially. You may jump into a new business, but expect a slower process than what you envisioned before.
We step into this new month on a Yin Earth Rooster day:
If you already find yourself in a new situation, a spontaneous trip or focusing on your hobbies and desires may help, since the
Rooster element is the Eating God structure, calling attention to doing what feels good. Moreover this can keep difficulties in check. (Anyone’s 7K element, or difficulty, can be eased by the corresponding EG element, it is worth examining this). However, the chart warns about right moderation. In December one may become prone to filling chaotic situations with joy-enhancing, desire-satisfying events. “If life is sh*t already, then at least I’ll watch Netflix and munch chocolate all winter break, everyone leave me alone.” But if you find yourself in this situation, it is only escaping from your own emotions. You think it is easier to spend your time satisfying your own desires while ignoring your environment, or not even noticing the snow glittering in the sunlight on the branches. You shut yourself off from inner experiences and try to soothe desire with external pleasures. I warn everyone against December overspending; many of us may feel that after hardships at least an expensive Christmas gift compensates… The chart calls attention to this through the Rat and Rooster destruction, which may appear as aimless pleasure-seeking, sexual encounters only to soothe the deeper emotions raging inside. After a breakup this may be a quick meeting that intensifies physical pleasure but does not deal with inner storms. There is no issue with experiencing joy and desire in December, the key is correct balance. In the destruction constellation of RAT-ROOSTER one must never think in extremes. Not either-or, but both-and. You can live both life areas without one harming the other. Destruction is always about creating BALANCE. If you manage to maintain this in December, saying no to the second cake, or refraining from overspending on expensive gifts by saying “Thank you, that’s enough” (since overeating is overstimulation of an external pleasure, overbuying is a compensating substitute action), then you maintain the right balance. You will notice that if you keep this difficult balance, your life becomes filled with humour, and you may serve as true motivation for those who cannot take this step. The December month may bring up themes related to
addiction, pleasure-chasing behaviour. This may be excessive alcohol, overeating, dating mania, megalomania (Indirect Wealth after all!)… Examine which addictions want to resurface in your life and how you can balance them. If you manage to grow through this, the Yin Earth Rooster may gift you with a sense of inner abundance, which is an inner affirmation of life, an inner spiritual richness. Rooster Yin Metal loves to show itself, so the December question is clear: How do you want to stand out before others? With your inner spiritual wealth, humour, motivating stories, or with chasing external pleasures?
And finally we arrive at the
Yin Wood Pig, the hour pillar, which is the invisible pulling force of every chart, somehow rising above even the strength of the day and month pillars. The hour pillar is the outcome, the path toward the goal; if the direction here is good, it is favourable for the outcome of the transit. Yin Wood Pig is one of my personal favourites. No, not because I have it, I don’t. It’s just that the solution to the low-level state is so simple that it is almost unbelievable:
It fits the earlier themes of joy, desire, addiction because at a low level it also shows the feeling of lack; and if a person does not become aware of this, they tend to run unnecessary circles that do not move them toward real solutions. Yin Wood on a low level lives an unsatisfied sense of lack, nothing is good as it is. This is easy to understand from the Yin Wood analogy. Think of an ever-growing ivy, it can never stop, always motivated by growth, by further goals. It wants more and even more. To grow, to expand. If I have a small family home, why not a bigger one; if I earn a lot, why not double? If we don’t watch this, we may easily find ourselves in never ending dissatisfaction, as if we cannot see how much we already have (loving family, health, good income, etc.) If you focus on lack, you can drag yourself down into depression. If you run low and want to break out of this vicious cycle, only love and self-awareness help. Start with small steps! Practice 20 minutes a day: for example spend time with someone you love; if you can’t, meditate 20 minutes and think of shared loving memories. If this is also impossible, think of someone you love unconditionally, for example your dog, cat, child. Add 20 minutes of exercise, not to lose weight, but because you love your body.
The Yin Wood Pig pillar creates through emotion The water hidden in the Pig is so attuned to feelings that with conscious direction you can achieve any process. (the Pig’s water element supports Yin Wood’s growth, and Yin Wood is 7K, meaning you fight for any personal goal). Let’s say you are not earning well, experiencing financial lack (I use this example because the structure indicates money, finances). With this chart, the solution will not be outside, not a second job will stop the inner feeling of lack, but transforming your mentality with love, and this will radiate outward and better and better opportunities will find you, enriching you financially too. Many forget to look inward, but our outer world starts changing from within. This is a slow process, requiring perseverance. The hour pillar’s Yin Wood Pig energy is most supported by this year’s Yin Wood Snake energy: the “wanting more” born from lack transforms into free flow in the present moment. The difficulty is only that it takes time, patience, but according to the chart, now is exactly the right time! This is the

When the month starts, the luck pillar activates simultaneously, which is the Yin Earth Ox energy. This does not happen often in a starting chart, yet now it gives a meaning as if instead of 4 pillars we should examine 5.

This pillar teaches about
love.
About the kind of love many close off inside due to pains, breakups, traumas. Its greatest teaching is that
true love heals, but the heart opens slowly. One can tell that a Yin Earth Ox person (or under such a transit) lives at a low level if they are too distant, afraid to open, fearing vulnerability again. Yin Earth and the earth element hidden in the Ox are the pure energies of
receiving, accepting, understanding and healing. In such a transit or in such charts people often attract relationships where the other person needs strong therapy.
