I went to the cinema a few days ago to see the movie about Elvis Presley and I was drawn to this autobiography. Among other things, because every little detail of his birth chart echoes his life. The horoscope contains all the coding he lived. After the movie, I couldn't wait to download his birth chart and study it. That's how this blog was born.
Elvis Presley was born on 8 January 1935, the second baby of identical twins, in Tupelo, a small town in Mississippi, USA. Records show he was born at 4:35 a.m., 35 minutes later than his first-born brother, Jessie Presley.
In such cases, Chinese astrology draws up the birth chart according to the rules of day pillar of the twins.
Anyone who has studied Chinese astrology knows that only ia twin birth chart can have different polarities. Thus, Elvis's Day Pillar
Yin Wood Monkey, which itself indicates a hidden combination (Jin Wood - Yang Metal).
The Yang Metal element of Monkey represents Elvis' career, which almost captivates the Yin Wood Day Master, making it an inseparable part of his own self in his career. That is why he did not allow himself to be controlled in some things (unfortunately, as we shall see, he was able to be influenced by others). He only allowed his own self to wrap itself around his career (Friend-Direct Officer profiles combine).
New Elvis - Old Elvis
Elvis exploded the 60s and 70s's USA with his fire element-dominated Hurting Officer profile (HO), with self performance. His performances were so overheated with sexuality that he could not control, it burned within him by instinct, and on the other hand the social values of tose times did not allow such freedom to be shown in the media. His manager therefore came up with the idea of wrapping up the 'old' Elvis in a new coat, but the Elvis's controlling Yin Wood no longer allowed it. On the other hand, the Tiger-Monkey forms a stubborn will in a personality.
His Day Master as Yin Wood, he was very adaptable, he could fit in well in any community. Indeed, Yin Wood tends to bend where it feels the least resistance, which is how they not only survive, but also thrive. The strongest trait of the Yin Wood is its
survival instinct. Elvis Presley certainly needed it, as his mother moved to black Memphis when Presley's father was sentenced to prison for a messy case. Elvis made his mark as a white man in a black town, which became his success story. Yin Wood is not only a good diplomat who adapts well, but also tends to lean towards the stronger influence. People with the Yin Wood birt chart must be careful to let their own will, otherwise the opinions of others (which are extra influence on them!) will prevail. A Yin Wood person's opinion can be pushed in a different direction by a stronger element (like a storm, the wind blows the long grass, it leans towards the wind).
The
RW(Rob Wealth) is sacrifice, loss, but success at a high level. He grew up in poverty and the absence of his father affected his childhood. This is indicated by the RW-DW structures in the Year Pillar in his chart. Abandonment of money, loss of father. Wealth element always indicates the energy of a man's experience with his father and the material, money matters.
The Yin Wood is not only a survivor, but a leader. Throughout Elvis's life, the eternal enigma of his BAZI chart has been within: to please and adapt to others versus taking control of his own life. He played ping pong between the two. Yin Wood wants to please everyone on a low level, but he likes to control, to rise above without getting into conflict.
As a child,
her father's absence triggered strong desires to help him. He loved comic books and thought he would save him one day andestablish an abundant life for his parents. He promised his mother as a child that he would buy her a pink Cadillac. His
Tiger-Monkey's strong clash in his birth chart resulted creative powers when his dreams came true. The Tiger which carried the public (RW-Rob Wealth) in itself and the Monkey which was his career (DO-Direct Officer) were in creative opposition throughout his life, so it was the publicity in his career that gave him his success. The meeting of the Tiger and the Monkey can bring dreams down into physical reality. For Elvis, the structures of
Direct Officer-DO and Rob Wealth-RW caused him to be centered around the career/publicity/world success axis. He always felt he was going to be famous, born for something huge.
And while we're on the subject, a little off topic, as it's a coincidence that I'm writing this blog in the year of the Tiger, and we're in the month of the Monkey in 1 week, so I encourage everyone to let their creative thoughts out, because if there's time to wait, they'll come to us:-)
Elvis started
his first luck pillar at the age of 9. It has RW-DW structures similar to his Year Pillar.
His dead-born brother also typically shows up in his chart with the RW structure, with
RW representing the brothers/sisters in a chart.
At this time he got the first guitar of his life, which he did not like, because he dreamed of a bicycle, and instead he got only a guitar, and out of defiance he did not take it in his hands for a long time.
The Rob Wealth (RW) also signifies the competitive spirit and the racing sports. Such a person wants to be better than everyone else. He observes first, then imitates, then wants to become even better at it. From the age of
9 to 19, this became even more emphasised because of his current luck pillar. He watched how black people sang in the city, imitated them (Yin Wood is the best imitator, the most successful at imitating, be it acting, dancing, singing). He also watched gospel singing as a child, and that's how the little blond Yin Wood white boy came up with a crazy black voice. The Earthly Branch of this luck pillar was the Rabbit, which created more fire with his Dog (Rabbit-Dog combination), and fire for Elvis meant acting, self-expression, the stage, fashion, the capital letter LIFE's Joys, elegance.
Elvis's main profile is Indirect Wealth (IW) , which is the typical entrepreneurial spirit, with enormous freedom, impatience, " I'll do it" attitude. There are two markers in his chart that somewhat balance out this:
1. His secondary profile, that is resource element
The resource element restrains the entrepreneurial pattern of behaviour at any given time, it is also a mother marker, in Elvis' life his mother wanted to pull him back from the celebrity life, that she was afraid of. She rather preferred him to have a decent job.
2. Yin Wood -obsession to please others
This energy pulled him back from the totally free Indirect Wealth attitude from time to time. Yin Wood's characteristics as Jin Fa's naivety and manipulability were cleverly used by Parker (his manager). And Elvis' Yin Wood betowards less resistance. Obviously his manager could not have done that with a Yang Wood Day Master.
But how can his birth chart show where his money will come from?
The birth chart indicates plenty of money for Elvis. Direct Wealth (DW) is lower amount of money; Indirect Wealth (IW) is big money. Since it is in the month pillar for him, it shows that abundance will flow into his life after the age of 18, a "career" that will give him the freedom to live an entrepreneurial life.
If we study his ability to create money , we find his birt chart indicates that creating money, securing material wealth was very important to Elvis. When earth element represents the money (wealth) element, it indicates that arrangement of money, material things need to be secured for him. However, IW is characterized by generosity (A person with IW invites everyone), extra helpfulness, tends to give away with 2 hands. Unfortunately, this is also characteristic of RW, so those who have RW and IW in their chart should watch out, because not only does he like to live a luxurious life, but money can easily and quickly get out of hand. Elvis also liked to spend on luxury items, his Graceland estate was the foundation of his security. He loved expensive cars, the gold (YANG FIRE! What a symbolism!), flashy performance clothes and gold jewellery that he needed for his self-expression.
Elvis's ability to create money was his innate talent (in Earth Indirect Wealth). When wealth element is Yin Earth, it always shows that he has a hidden talent that can make him a huge amount of money. For Elvis, it was his voice and his performance.
Incredibly, it was exactly one year to the year, at the age of 19, when his
luck pillar indicates big money in the heavenly tribe(IW), that in 1954 his career began to soar. That's when his first album, A White Boy with a Black Voice, was released, causing a stir in the segregationist attitudes between blacks and whites at that time.
I haven't mentioned Elvis's
Yin Fire element yet, although the movie shows authenticly the qualities of this element.
One with Yin Fire is like a candlelight, it is delicate, it can be blown away by any outside breeze. At the beginning of Elvis's career
he was very scaredbefore every step on stage, he was nervous and thought he couldn't do it. Those with the Yin Fire element need a mentor for this very reason, most often this
support is provided by the mother.Yin Fire looks up to older, more experienced, wise people, listens to them and likes to be around wiser and older people to learn from. The
Yin Fire is sensitive, often get nose bleedings or may have a cycle of worrying a lot of events that happen. For Elvis, this Yin Fire was in his Month Pillar representing his work area, that put his shyness into him. Yin Fire meant him EG-Eating God, meaning it was inside him, no one could see it. The Eating God structure in a personality closes, the Hurting Officer opens. Elvis had to learn and develop to open his personality, as his hour pillar showed the Hurting Officer. When he stepped out on stage, the audience could already see the Yang Fire (Hurting Officer which is the opposite polarity (The analogy of the Sun) of the Eating God's candle light 's analogy).
And yes here we come to the Hour Pillar. The Yang Fire.
Which is the magnet pulling his desire, his acting, his self-expression, his confidence, his sexuality.
He felt this way from a very young age. Yang Fire ithe analogy of
SUN. When Elvis stepped on stage, he exploded like fire. So powerful and with such a heat, with unstoppable energy. No words can express it better than Chinese Astrology's five main elements analogy.
In his shy period as a young man, he had performances where he barely dared to speak into the microphone, and then this candle (Yin Fire) would explode on a single comment or criticism in a way that would burn the
world around him (Yang Fire).
His chart beautifully marks the path he had to evolve in order to achieve his desire through self-expression.
In his sentimental songs, his sensitivity to the world and human love shone a light on him. Yang Fire is also an analogy of pure unconditional love. He had a famous saying, which he took from an African-American priest, "If you can't say it, sing it".
Elvis's Hour Pillar pulled him like a magnet, almost unconsciously feeling the power of the Tiger within him. The Heavenly Stem, that was Rob Wealth structure in his Hour Pillar signifies the energetics of martial arts, competitive sports, defeat and always be better attitude. His knowledge of karate also shone through in his stage performances. He loved to perform difficult and unprecedented dance moves, which required good physical condition. Yin Wood is a good dancer, good at imitating the rhythm of the music.
All this is accompanied by a Tiger Earthly Branch, which uses its power to protect by using martial arts. It is likely that Elvis did not study Chinese Astrology Still mind blowing his symbolism was still evident in his own intuition, as far as astrology was concerned. He was known as Tiger in karate contests and had his own gold Tiger ring made.
Elvis
loved to make the audience laugh. The Monkey's Earthly Branch in the Day Pillar is also evident in his facial analysis. The Monkey is characterised by an emphasis on teeth and laughter, usually accentuated with a slight smile above the gums, with some grimacing. People with the Monkey image often have snapshots of grinning or grimacing, this is absolutely visible on Elvis' face. All this is coupled with the regular pearlteeth typical of a Tiger.
The Monkey is one of the funniest of the 12 animal characters, along with the Pig.That's why I often call
"a circus monkey ". The Monkey is lively, seeks humour and jokes, and does it all in a striking, cutting way (Monkey's charge is Yang Metal, which is like a sharp knife, a divider). Monkey is characterized by teasing and joking with others.
Sentimentality, melancholy was also in him, he experienced the depths of life in loss. The bullying pusihment
meeting of Dog and Ox in a chart indicates that he experience loss of his loved ones in a greater and more emphasised emotion. He denied his father's past, which was not entirely clear, all along, keeping it hidden from the public.
During his ages of 29-39 years when he had Direct Officer (DO)-Direct Wealth (DW) period appeared
his wife Priscilla he got married in 1967. The Direct Wealth Luck Pillar indicates the arrival of a wife in a man's chart
Direct Officer (DO) marks the peak of his career. His Day Master of Yin Wood was combined with the career marker of Luck Pillar of Jang Metal for this 10-year period, and in this decade he enjoyed its greatest success. Movies, performances, Grammy awards...
Dragon indicates a destruction with Ox in Elvis's birth chart which meant wealth element, so money matter and father figure. By the early 70's their finances were falling apart, father was unable to manage the finances of their company, and they got in debt due to the amount of overspending (Dragon-Ox financial destruction).
At the age of 39,
Elvis turned into a 7K luck pillar and Yang Fire magnified
a troubled period of hardship (Yin Metal - 7K). By then his health condition was worsening, his appearance and performances took him down the wrong path (drug overdose, sleeping pill addiction, alcohol, divorce, women).
Snake appeared in the Earthly Branch of his luck pillar that created
placement of Snake-Monkey destruction. But it was not only Elvis's career that was affected by this difficult period, but also her marriage. The 7K-EG structure pair in a birth chart always indicates a very strong sexual desire. By this time, Elvis lived fully his main structure of Indirect Wealth (IW), which had intensified the themes of girlfriends, 3rd party women and although the movie did not show, he was surrounded by many girlfriends and lovers during this period of his life.
He died in 1977 on 16th of August, the year of the Snake and the month of the Monkey.
The Year Pillar of
RW indicates public many people in his life. In his childhood, a sense of material/father loss dominated by RW-DW triggered him to transform his life pulled by his desires: Dog Year Pillar connecting with the Tiger of the Hour Pillar, representing
fire triangular combination. Elvis was triggered by lack of money and father
to transform this state.
The Fire element gave him such a strong motivation from childhood that it kept him alive. Fire, as we know, is an element that can change all other elements. So did Elvis with the world, with people. That's how he became the King of Rock. That is the analogy of the Rob Wealth Structure that we also call Royal structure in Chinese astrology. Position of the King , when mixed with the power of the Sun, is the way he gives his appearance to the world.
