I like reading psychological character studies, case studies. I like to see different approaches and how psychology as a science, which is much more accepted and put on a pedestal in western culture, uses much more complex tools than Chinese astrology.
The kind of simplicity and elementary knowledge that lies within a Chinese astrological chart analysis is incredible. Perhaps it is its simplicity, and its ability to enable all people to think with the natural analogies they contain, that makes it unique in the world.
I have studied the character traits of several famous people, which were derived by completing and analysing complex empirical tests and studies. It is not my place to downgrade the science of psychology, I believe there is a lot of cognitive knowledge behind it.
And knowledge is power, but in my experience it can help those who have it. And sometimes too much knowledge cannot help, because it clogs up common sense and awareness, chewed to the bone, analysed back and forth.
So, it must be stated everywhere and at all times:
Golden Middle Way. Finding balance is the key, or the solution to everyone's path.
But first, let's look at what psychology says are the characteristics of a Machiavellian personality?
The
grand masters ofmanipulation. These individuals unconsciously put their own interests before everyone else, and they do so with such trickery, from behind the scenes, that they know in their gut what to communicate to whom in which situations.
They can utilise people for their own gain. They can flatter, or even distort the truth, in such a way that the veil is lifted for the other person only when it is too late.
ASSERTIVE COMMUNICATION, or as I call it
a subtle form of lies is not uncommon in their lives. They don't do it to do harm, it is merely a way out for the sake of their inherent drive for leadership. They know exactly what to say to which person. And they can say it in the tone of voice the other person wants to hear.
The
trust is a point in their lives that they don't share. They trust no one, they always question statements.
Rationality, cool, cold thinking characterizes them, if their interests and goals require so.
They usually shape their lives to leave
as winners who take it all from a relationship they have built. Be it a divorce, property division, they always leave with more than they put in, even though they will make every argument to the contrary.
They have an incredible
flexibility for sudden future changes. They are tactical, devious, have a strange social awareness. They are good judges of character and can apply brilliant theatrical skills to their lives.
The strongest personality trait in crisis management, as such, as they can use the tiniest mouse-ways with amazing flair, turning their disadvantage to their advantage.
Let's examine which elements and animal signs to look for in a Chinese astrology Bazi birth chart if we think we can detect a pattern of behaviour in someone in our close environment.
YIN WOOD meets YIN METAL element or
PIG meets MONKEY or RABBIT meets ROOSTER
Yin Wood and Yin Metal constellation gives a driving tendency of tension for power and the 2 elemets are a clash or opposition. It creates such opposition and tension in a person's life when these 2 elements are found in the natal radix that they will do anything for higher rank, greater recognition, which is also generated by a strained sense of self, ego, pride, serving as a driving force. The same Yin Wood element is manifested in the zodiac animal symbols of
Rabbit, as its elemental charge is the Yin Wood. And the Yin Metal element's main animal symbol is no other than the
Rooster. who actually is the smartest animal, and one of which it is extremely proud.
The Yin Wood in Chinese astrology is a small soft flower, a delicate, fragile-looking plant that projects charming and kindness to the outside world. One that is easily hurt, easily broken. But this weakness misleads its environment. In its nature it has a strong tendency to grow, a constant urge to progress. Strengthened in this way, an ivy can threaten a giant pine tree, taking its nutrition from it. You have that picture, haven't you, when after the biggest storm the weak flowers, the grass blades are bent down, the mighty strong trees are broken and fall down? Yes, that's how it works with these people... The grass and the small flowers are very quickly restored to the first sunshine, they can quickly bring new flowers, "regrow" the structure they have built up. They are eternal survivors, even if they are temporarily trampled underfoot. They will stand up.
Those personalities who have the Yin Wood in their birth chart gently hug the one they believe they are helping, and then become their emperor. Like the hand-warmed Snake, who can bite killing venom into the hand that nurtured it before. Now here I may have lost the balance of my writing. The situation is not so cut and dried, and of course it need not be seen in such a stark and dramatic way. However, in smaller family situations, one can notice patterns like this and similar ones. They lead the family, dominate their environment, they like things the way they want. They want others to adapt to their needs. At a low level, a Yin Wood personality wants to conform, to adapt, to fit in with his environment.
Each element has aspects experienced in low and high vibration.
After a consultation session, it becomes immediately apparent which group it can be placed in. It is fascinating to see how unaware a person is of their strengths, with which they could become a leader in their environment.
The
Rooster and/or the Yin Metal wherever is positioned, wants to stand out from the crowd. If one does not draw in the meaning of analogy to a healthy level,
could fall into excessive ego. In such cases, the individual may believe that he or she is more special than other people, more superior than everyone else. He or she may even be classified as a narcissist. He admires himself, he "should" have a better and more beautiful life than everyone else, everyone around him should seek His favour.
When
pride and ego meet the desire to conform, these 2 elements can bring out of a person a tendency to leadership, so-called manipulative tools, that he does not even realize. Blindly, unconsciously, from behind, he controls the surrounding in his life, and at a moment when his own self-worth is not getting enough credit, he pulls the strings. This is how the
Yin Wood-Jin Metal clash works in Chinese astrology. If an individual learns awareness and self-knowledge, they can learn their tools, or strengths, of what they are capable of. Can decide to exercise leadership on the principle of leading by love, and his selflessness. An Oscar-winning manipulative act, then turns to a miracle of a tree reaching for the sky.
The other such pair in the Earthly Branches is the meeting of
Pig and Monkey. When you encounter these 2 animal symbols within a birth chart or during a luck pillar transit, you are faced with the ultimate manipulator. Here, however, the main difference from the previous position is that there is a good deal of overwhelming emotion involved. Here the tears flow, and the bullets rain down. Here, unfortunately we get the circus, the emotional blackmail to make you feel sorry for yourself. There is not so much cool rationality here, but there is the fact that if those who are are not paying attention and not seeing the games clearly, can easily become a victim. Of course, I always like to emphasise the high level of the placement, because it is a miracle of energy lived at a high level. The Monkey-Pig constellation masks a strong leadership personality who makes hearts so sensitive that they want to follow. Think of Martin Luther King, who believed in a cause with such words and love for people that millions of people wanted to follow. Leading by example, leading the masses to a better goal.
There are 2 important points to consider for each of these two positions:
1. Do you put the interests of the others before your own interests?
2. Do you live your life at a high or low vibration level? Love is high, self-interest and possessive gain is low.
According to psychologists, such people should be avoided. Chinese astrology takes a very different view. A particular placement is not predestined. So, if you see it in a friend's chart, there is no need to beware. After all, I know many people who are able to apply their inherent strengths at a high level of consciousness.
At a low level, people with a manipulator's chart are capable of destroying their environment, and can be a threat to them.
At a high level, they succeed without leaving skeletons in the cupboard. They avoid conflict and can achieve great success in their work on behalf of others. Their success is that they will be recognised by people.
As you can see, it's that simple. For simplicity, here is a sample BAZI birth chart where these personality traits are most likely to show up in an individual.
It's not a requirement that all of these placement appear in one chart, one element and its pair is enough. In case these placements appear in a current luck pillar that will give a person 10 years of powerful manipulation tools.
