On September 7, 2025 we enter the Yin Wood Rooster month.
The starting chart of the month looks as follows:
I could say: fasten your seatbelts. The chart indicates a heavily charged, tense period, seemingly hiding karmic closures at first glance: Heavenly Stem oppositions, Earthly Branch oppositions, all signs of change and transformation, while the 7K structure does not suggest the calmest chill period :-) You might feel that limits and difficulties are pressing in, yet it is precisely this challenge that can trigger changes and, later, allow you to reap the rewards. Not a comfort-zone month. More like a rocket launch. The question is whether you can integrate this at a high level into career building or achieving your goals. If yes, very significant advancements and position changes can occur...
On a lower level, it may feel as if life is deliberately drawing boundaries around you. You might feel slowed down, restricted, or that there’s always some obstacle. But if you look at this period with a slightly different perspective, you can realize that these boundaries are not against you. Limits now act like a riverbed: without them, your energy would scatter, but if directed within boundaries and dams, these frames can bring order, helping you see more clearly what truly works and what is merely an illusion. Moreover, the river reaches its goal faster when you help define its banks.
Difficult start, fruitful endings
The silver lining is that it’s worth examining which element a difficult chart is positioned in. Here, the 7K is a Yin Wood element, indicating that we can dodge the challenges easily if we approach them flexibly. This is definitely positive, and it also means we can learn and grow significantly (analogous to learning and adapting like Yin Wood) from the tasks arriving now.
Manipulation, moving the strings behind the scenes
Because of obstacles and limitations,
manipulative methodsmay appear; some may confront restrictions by breaking rules or exploiting loopholes to assert themselves. (This is the Yin Earth–Yin Wood opposition, and also the opposition between Yin Wood and the Rooster’s Yin Metal.) If something doesn’t work or restricts you this month, you can navigate around it through adaptation and flexibility.
The month starts with the
fertile, supportive, creative energy of Yin Earth (the chart’s Day Master) and perhaps many of us do not believe enough in our dreams and desires, yet deep down we feel we have all the tools to make our goals fruitful and bring visible results. This September, there is enormous inner strength to create your goals and plans. (Yin Earth in the Snake hour pillar.) Thus, in September, courage and strength arrive to pursue plans and goals you previously thought, "Ah, I don’t have the strength or opportunity for this..."
Despite the
many 7K structures, which signal tasks, tension, boldness, rules, and legal frameworks, and the need to step out of others’ shadows, an interesting duality emerges. Any 7K element in a chart is restrained by the Eating God profile.
EG, as the main structure, the output element in the Rooster can redirect explosive tension to prevent it from turning into drama or tragedy. The Rooster does this wisely: EG is restrained energy, possessing all knowledge. (Academic Star in the Rooster!) It’s as if life asks you to take a step back and not fight right now. Notice what happens when you don’t insist on being “on stage.” It is not always action, words, that moves you forward, but sometimes simply stepping back and letting things settle on their own.
The appearance of Yin Wood and Yin Earth elements in a chart can prominently indicate the
impostor syndrome, as I wrote about earlier,
you can read about it on this link.
The message of the Yin Wood Rooster pillar
Very heavy, it points to generational wounds and karmic difficulties, while also marking the closure of such a difficult cycle.
How to stay conscious this month?
-Give yourself time to process past events. If old memories arise, don’t suppress them, write them down, and let them go.
-You may experience September’s changes as heavy and constraining.
-Don’t force conflict or contentious situations.
-Take breaks, retreat and create silence around yourself, even 10 minutes a day or a long walk, as internal realizations will come in this quiet.
-In relationships, if tension or disputes arise, pull back a little before responding. Stepping back is more effective than sudden words or actions.
-Examine which thoughts, stories, and beliefs you hold—ask yourself if you really still need them.
-What obstacles does life present, and how do you adapt?
-Watch for manipulative patterns.
This month teaches that immense power exists in silence and inner space. When you retreat, you don’t become weaker but stronger, as you reconnect with your inner center.
An example of experiencing the chart’s analogy on lower and higher levels:
When you don’t speak out of fear or back down,
on a lower level, you experience this energy as escape and weakness. You feel powerless and withdraw rather than face it. In a workplace conflict, you stay nice to everyone, avoid confrontation, and “swallow” the tension while inside, anger burns. Questions to consider if you experience this aspect:
-Where do I tend to escape from difficult situations instead of communicating clearly?
-What am I really afraid of when I back down?
An everyday example of
Rooster's and EG's wisely restraining effect, experienced on a higher level: In a conversation, you recognize that a tense situation or dispute cannot be constructively resolved now, so you remain silent and speak later in a calmer atmosphere. If someone brings up an old grievance, don’t immediately defend yourself. Listen and observe why it affects you so strongly. If you take on too much from others, now honestly say, “I can’t fit this in now.” In September, this especially shows in work and family areas. This is not selfish, but the basis for clearer relationships and boundary-setting. Consider these questions if you happen to experience similar like this:
-Where could I wisely step back to preserve my energy?
-In which situations does silence serve me better than conflict?
The key is not to remain silent but to know and feel when and where to withdraw and what to reflect on.
The Yin Wood Rooster Pillar itself is conflictual, rule-imposing (or violating), and dominant energy. (The Yin Wood element in the Rooster also represents a 7K structure.) During such a period,
structures and boundary-settingcan be very supportive.
Establish small habits, e.g., fixed bedtime, regular exercise, mindful eating. These small self-imposed limits give inner strength.
If you stand in line, sit in traffic, or something doesn’t work out immediately, consider it part of the month’s lesson. Observe your reactions and try to transform them: “Maybe now is exactly the time to stop and think.”
Realize that a “not now” often acts as protection because something is not yet ripe.
The
Rabbit and Rooster meeting favors secret relationships, romance, and physical experiences. Karmic, past-life relationships may close, or new ones may form. The 7K-EG structure meeting also favors the experience of secret desires, romantic cravings, and physical experiences. In existing, familiar relationships, it brings up arguments, asserting interests, and opposing thinking.
The most authentic insight in a constellation comes from sharing personal experience. Here are a few lessons my Yin Wood Rooster transit taught me:
Every limit I encountered ultimately served me. I learned that boundaries are not walls but springboards and bridges toward higher goals. I realized that when someone misrepresents reality, the truth doesn’t change. Something doesn’t become true just because someone judges harshly or offensively. I don’t have to react to every harsh word against me. Kindness and subtlety take me further than sudden reactions. Explaining or retaliating would only add fuel to the fire.
I learned what it feels like to step out of oppression’s shadow and how liberating it is to reconnect with inner peace in silence and solitude. When this happens, faith becomes a bridge to your goals. I learned patience and that everything comes in its time.
This period also made me realize that karmic wounds can be healed with this energy. I can close generational pains that may now end through me. I understood that this energy can carry physical or verbal harm, but my insights don’t need to be shared immediately, only when the time is right, and words can arise clearly and healingly. During this transit, I often thought: What is happening now, I will eventually write in a book, but the time hasn’t come yet. I withdrew gently, waited, and observed.
In the realm of career, workplaces, and positions, I learned a lot: the power of 7K taught me to build structures even when I resisted. These systems held my life together and guided me to set my own boundaries, deciding how far to let people in and where to draw the line.
The deepest gift I received was humility. I learned how much power boundaries and retreat carry. Silence, discipline, and patience give inner strength deeper than any words.
You are not a victim, no matter how difficult the changes feel. This energy puts things in order.
The analysis varies depending on the Day Master, and combined with a natal chart, a personal monthly reading can be requested. September strongly affects all Yin Earth, Yin Wood, Yang Earth, and Yang Wood Day Masters.
